Alan Rudden Garden Design is a multi-award-winning design practice based in Dublin. We have worked on a broad range of Irish and international design projects to date. Our studio offers a complete garden and landscape design service for private homeowners, taking their gardens from brief, to concept right through to completion. Our goal is to achieve the perfect balance between structure and planting; creating practical, aesthetically beautiful spaces that are complemented by dynamic planting schemes.
Alan Rudden
MD & Lead Designer
Alan is a trained horticulturist with almost 20 years’ experience in the industry. He cut his teeth, in the first half of his career, by constructing and planting his own designs to a very high standard.
This extensive, practical knowledge of garden construction has been a key contributor to the success of his design practice. He knows how to bring a design from concept through to completion. His extensive experience also means that he understands and can effectively collaborate and communicate with each profession at every stage of the process to realise the design, and make it happen.
Alan has designed numerous award-winning gardens, achieving a Gold Medal at RHS Hampton Court, London and eight Gold Medals at Bloom. His accolades include two coveted “Best in Show”, two “Best Show Planting”, two “Best In Category” and the “Designers’ Choice” award.
Alan has been invited to participate in and design a garden for the Singapore Garden Festival 2024.
